PRATIBHA NANDAKUMAR

Pratibha Nandakumar (Born 1955) is a leading Kannada poet journalist, film maker, columnist, and translator. Her publications include 16 collections of poems, two collections of short stories, two column writings, three biographies, one autobiography and three translations,including The Saga of Sivagami by Anand Neelkatan into Kannada and Agni Sreedhar’s novel into English The Gangster’s Gita. She has also published poems in English and has translated from /into English. Her poems are taught in several universities in India and abroad. She has received several awards including the Infosys Foundation Literary Award, Bangalore Lit Fest Award, Karnataka Sahitya Academy Book Award, Mahadevi Verma Kavya Samman, and Hoogar Memorial Award for Journalism among others.
