a conversation

a conversation for two

I am your I am the
child; it’s Earth; it’s
been a long time

I’ve beenI am sorry
following youto have lost
the best I cantrack of you

and I’m sorryI have been
that it’s takenbusy filing down
me so longmy teeth

to speak; seeand there’s
the sea has beenalso the fingers
keeping me,I lose

but there’s onlyso often. This
so much bloodblood a frequent
I can leave herflush; rainstorm

and monsoonmilieu. The forecast
season is soon;reads bones
the stonesplaced into each

led me to you, other and left
and the road wasat the roadside.
long but hereI am

we are; takethe offering I
these hands ofalways asked for
mine, make yoursbut never received—

new; turn methis voice dandelion
flower besideand ruptured

you; rake a spacethere is no place
for me among thefor you among the
weeds.
