trayāṇāṃ devānāṃ triguṇajanitānāṃ tava śive
bhavet pūjā pūjā tava caraṇayoryā viracitā

tathā hi tvatpādodvahanamaṇipīṭhasya nikaṭe
sthitā hyete śaśvanmukulitakarottaṃsamakuṭāḥ

O auspicious one

Puja performed
to your feet

as good as puja
of Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva

the three gods created
by your three aspects

No wonder they stand
in wait forever, near

the gem-studded stool
that supports your feet

hands folded like buds
above their diadems

Everything in nature is made of three aspects or guṇas – sattva, rajas and tamas – which originate from Śakti.
