ELLEN KOMBIYIL

Ellen Kombiyil is originally from Syracuse, New York and now lives in Bangalore, India, where she leads writing workshops and teaches yoga. Current work appears in Hobble Creek Review, Poemeleon, Revolution House and Spry, and is forthcoming in Redactions. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, a Best of the Net, and was second runner up in the 2014 Carriage House Poetry Prize. Ellen is a founder of The (Great) Indian Poetry Collective, a mentorship-model publishing collective, which publishes first and second books. Her first book, Histories of the Future Perfect, which explores the intersection of astrophysics and poetry, is forthcoming in 2014.
