Poetry at Sangam
Poetry at Sangam showcases poetry in English and translations as well as essays on poetics and news of new releases.
Rubicon Press (Canada) published Dipika Mukherjee’s poetry chapbook, The Palimpsest of Exile, in 2009. Her poems have appeared in publications around the world, including World Literature Today, Asia Literary Review, United Verses and Sugarmule. She has performed her poetry at the International Stage at Het Huis van Poesie in Rotterdam, been the featured poet at the Hideout in Austin, Texas, and read at Poetry Out Loud at the Shanghai International Literary Festival and The Sugar Factory in Amsterdam, as well as the Iowa Summer Writing Festival. In June 2013, she was invited to speak at Yet Do I Marvel: Black Iconic Poets of the 20th Century, in the Chicago segment of the Poetry Society of America’s 2013 national series, held at the Poetry Foundation in Chicago. She is a Contributing Editor to Jaggery (A South Asian Diasporic Arts and Literature Journal) and curates an Asian/American Reading Series for the Literary Guild, Chicago. She lives in Chicago and teaches at Northwestern University.
