All will fall by James Byrne

Those who have sinned fall shortest.
A child in the sky flew querulous,
was felled by the hand of a satirist.
Like Icarus in labyrinths of Daedalus
or the frizzy Duchess, fabulously rich,
not sitting against Franco’s fascism
for Picasso, but with a matador naked.
Mytho-cryptic, life is euhemerism.
