When Lord Rama
appeared before the Director
National School of Drama
he was asked when he had last played
at a Ram Lila, and answered,
‘I am a part of the cosmic leela, son,
where no one loses and no one ever won,
where BJP and Congress are from the same placenta.’
Director , suffering from gout,
asked enraged ‘who sent ya?’
as he rang the bell for the chucker out..
Verse 2
As he was ushered out, whom should he meet
next to the Hotel Bar
but the corpulent manager
of a corpulent Parivar,
who said ‘Guruji, next time you come,
leave bow and arrow with the chaukidar.’
Verse 3
Nathu the chaukidar
whispered to his saathi
a guy who in Badrinath
had been a Vedpathi
‘he seems a character
out of Amish Tripathi.’
