Parimal Hansda

Parimal Hansda was born in 1986 and works as a teacher at Onda High School in Bankura district of West Bengal. He writes in both Santali and Bengali. He has published three collections of poetry: Dhunwa Otang Og Karna (Smoke Is Drifting Away, Santali, 2015), Kobita Tomar Jonnyo (Poems For You, Bengali, 2017), and Hende Gulab Baha (Black Rose, Santali, 2019); a book of stories: Rapud Asha (Broken Hope, Santali, 2016); and a book of non-fiction: Hor Hoponak Sariyarh Arang (The True Voice of the Santals, Santali, 2018). For Dhunwa Otang Og Kana, Parimal Hansda won the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in Santali for the year 2016.
