Poetry at Sangam
Poetry at Sangam showcases poetry in English and translations as well as essays on poetics and news of new releases.
Usha Upadhyay is a poet writing in Gujarati and Hindi. She has three collections of poetry: Jalbilori, Arundhati No Taro and Shyam Pankhi Av Aav. Her poetry has been translated into several languages including Kannada, Bengali, Urdu, Hindi and English. She is a translator. Her short story, “Hu to Chali” won her aacclaim. She has been the secretary of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad. Presently, she is teaching in the department of Gujarati in Gujarat Vidyapith and has been its head of the department since 1998. She has won many awards, including the Bhagini Nivedita Paritoshik, Naari Shakti award, Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan’s Sauhard Samman and many others.
