Amit Dutta

Amit Dutta is a filmmaker and author from Jammu. He has directed several critically acclaimed films like Man’s Woman and Other Stories (2009), Nainsukh (2010), Sonchidi (2011) and the Unknown Craftsman (2016). He has written six books–-fiction and non-fiction, several poems, short-stories and articles in Hindi, Dogri and English. His debut Hindi novel Kaljayi Kambakht has won the Krishna Baldev Vaid Fellowship Award in 2016. His children’s book in Hindi Gyarah Rupay ka Fountain Pen has been chosen in the Tata Group’s Parag Honour list of 2022.
