Hemanta Dalpati teaches social science in a District Institute of Education and Training College in Chitrakonda with an MA and a B Ed. degree. His work has appeared in numerous Odia journals. He edits Derna, a journal of Dalit-Bahujan literature. He has a book of poems, Tirare Lekhilu Naa Tamara. He grew up in Balangir, Odisha in India.
